For Immediate Release
Becky, a registered nurse and creative enthusiast, has released her debut children's book, Phoebe the Thankful Bulldog, an inspiring and heartwarming story aimed at helping young readers discover the power of gratitude in their daily lives.
In Phoebe the Thankful Bulldog, readers are introduced to Phoebe, an English bulldog who’s full of personality and curiosity. When Phoebe wakes up one morning excited for a day of fun, she soon finds herself left alone at home as her family heads off to work and school. Initially feeling sad and sorry for herself, Phoebe learns to turn her day around by embarking on a little adventure in her own backyard. Through this journey, she discovers all the small, yet significant, things to be thankful for, transforming a potentially dull day into a celebration of life's simple joys.
Drawing from her own experiences as a mother, nurse, and artist, Becky created Phoebe to share an important message with young children: that even in ordinary moments, there is always something to be grateful for. "I want to help kids appreciate the little things in life and understand that gratitude isn’t just about big events. It’s about finding joy in everyday moments," says Becky.
The story of Phoebe is also a tribute to Becky’s own beloved bulldog, who holds a special place in her heart. "Phoebe was a wonderful companion, and I wanted to keep a little piece of her alive through this book," Becky shares. "I hope that by sharing Phoebe's story, I can help children connect with their own sense of gratitude and see the beauty in the ordinary."
The book encourages readers to look beyond surface-level disappointments and find contentment by appreciating life’s small gifts. With its gentle tone, beautiful illustrations, and relatable storyline, Phoebe the Thankful Bulldog will inspire young readers to recognize the positive in their everyday routines and make the choice to be thankful, no matter what challenges they face.
