May (XX), 2025, New York, NY – Mitch Markson and Eric Ponsky’s timely and witty new book, The Imagination Time Trip, a Reality Fable for Adults is a whimsical, cross-generational, cleverly illustrated journey to the past, to the present, to the future. The co-authors mission possible? Help adults discover a more imaginative life.
“In a world filled with uncertainty and stress, many adults feel their dreams, hopes and aspirations are on the chopping block, our book aims to help reignite the passion for possibility, and find fun, pleasure and purpose in exploring what’s next.”
Mitch Markson
Boomer Mitch Markson and Gen-Z-er Eric Ponsky are the tour guides on this wild walkabout that examines imagination as an art and a science, all the while blurring the lines between real and surreal, facts and fantasy. Jump into the Mitch and Eric in Wonderland rabbit hole for a whirlwind adventure across time; from Childhood Lane to Gen-Z Bridge, to Boomerville, and a magical place that promises to cultivate imagination for all eternity.
“Co-authoring this book alongside Mitch Markson has revealed to me that having a strong imagination at any age is critical, to ‘imagine’ is not a skill, but a state of mind that creates innovators, trailblazers, and change-makers.”
Eric Ponsky, Co-author
Markson and Ponsky got by with a little help from their not-so-imaginary friends. The book summons words and deeds of some of imagination’s greatest champions, like scientist Albert Einstein, astronaut Cady Colman, creative gurus Shonda Rhimes and Gordon Mackenzie, a Quantum Queen of AI, and a change agent feline in her eighth life. Purrfect, spot-on stuff.
“The Imagination Time Trip, a Reality Fable for Adults,” is a little book filled with big ideas and motivational methods to awaken imagination, let it thrive, let it rip. For those looking to lead a more imaginative life, color outside the lines, take the plunge, break some boundaries, reinvigorate your narrative...this one’s for you.
